MOST HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY ARE RELEASED ON CHRISTMAS DAY DECEMBER 25

This Special Day of Jesus' birth is celebrated by Christians all over the world. But did you know that the dead are the most blessed during this day? For Christmas is known to be one of the biggest days of the year for the release of souls from purgatory to heaven. This season means more than gift giving and family gatherings.

What would you want for Christmas if you were in Purgatory? HEAVEN! To see the Face of Jesus gazing on you with love for all eternity!

The suffering souls in Purgatory love, praise and Thank God. They are saved! But there greatest suffering is worse than any pain, illness, or loss on earth. They have seen the face of God! Now they know the goodness of God and want to be with him but are unable to. So the holy souls loss of the sight of God is their GREATEST suffering. This is Purgatory.

SOLEMNITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST THE KING: NOVEMBER 20, 2011

Each year the church celebrates the Solemnity of Christ the King to acknowledge the Kingship of Jesus Christ. For Jesus Chris is the King of All Creation and the Redeemer of Mankind. He deserves all glory, honor, and praise.

The Feast of Christ the King was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as an antidote to secularism, a way of life which leaves God out of man's thinking and living and organizes his life as if God did not exist. The feast is intended to proclaim in a striking and effective manner Christ's royalty over individuals, families, society, governments, and nations.

SOLEMNITY OF ALL SOULS: NOVEMBER 2

All Souls Day is a solemn feast in the Catholic church commemorating all of those who have died and now are in Purgatory, being cleansed of their venial sins and the temporal punishments for the mortal sins that they had confessed and atoning before entering fully into Heaven.

There is a special plenary indulgence that can be gained for the souls in Purgatory on All Souls Day. A plenary indulgence removes all temporal punishment for sin--and so, in effect, releases a soul from Purgatory. To gain this indulgence, one must visit a church, recite one Our Father and the Creed, receive Communion, and pray one additional Our Father and one Hail Mary for the intentions of the Holy Father. The final requirement is to take part in the Sacrament of Confession, which can be done up to seven days before or afterwards. Since most Catholic parishes offer Confession on Saturday, one can go to Confession on a Saturday, and then fulfill the rest of the requirements on All Souls Day itself.

SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS: NOVEMBER 1

Every 1st day of November, the Catholic church honors all saints known and unknown or unsung saints, who may have been forgotten, or never been specifically honored. This is a special day where we ask for their prayers and intercessions. As members of the church, we believe that the saints of God are just as alive as you and I, and are constantly interceding on our behalf. We have a connection with the saints in heaven and this is known as the Communion of Saints.

"We believe in the communion of all the faithful of Christ, those who are pilgrims on earth, the dead who are being purified, and the blessed in heaven, all together forming one Church; and we believe that in this communion, the merciful love of God and his saints is always [attentive] to our prayers."
(CCC 962)

FEAST OF EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS

We celebrate today the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

In Numbers 21:5-9, we find that the people of Israel were afflicted with serpents in the wilderness because of their sin. God instructed Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” The bronze serpent points to the cross of Christ which defeats sin and death and obtains everlasting life for those who believe.

The result of Jesus “being lifted up on the cross” and His rising and exaltation to the Father’s right hand in heaven, is our “new birth in the Spirit” and adoption as sons and daughters of God. God not only redeems us, but He fills us with his own divine life and power that we might share in His glory.

MEMORIAL OF THE MOST HOLY NAME OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY...MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2011

In accordance with Jewish custom our Lady's parents named her eight days after her birth, and were inspired to call her Mary. The feast of the Holy Name of Mary therefore follows that of her Birthday, as the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus follows Christmas. The feast originated in Spain and was approved by the Holy See in 1513; Innocent XI extended its observance to the whole Church in 1683 in thanksgiving to our Lady for the victory on September 12, 1683 by John Sobieski, king of Poland, over the Turks, who were besieging Vienna and threatening the West. This day was commemorated in Vienna by creating a new kind of pastry and shaping it in the form of the Turkish half-moon. It was eaten along with coffee which was part of the booty from the Turks.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HOLY MASS

GRACES DERIVED FROM ASSISTING AT HOLY MASS

1. The Mass is Calvary continued.
2. Every Mass is worth as much as the sacrifice of Our Lord's life, sufferings and death.
3. Holy Mass is the most powerful atonement for your sins.
4. At the hour of death the Masses you have heard will be your greatest consolation.
5. Every Mass will go with you to judgement and plead for pardon.
6. At Mass you can diminish more or less temporal punishment due to your sins, according to your fervor.
7. Assisting devoutly at Holy Mass you render to the Sacred Humanity of Our Lord the greatest homage.
8. He supplies for many of your negligences and omissions.
9. He forgives the venial sins which you have not confessed. The power of Satan over you is diminished.
10. You afford the souls in Purgatory the greatest possible relief.
11. One Mass heard during your life will be of more benefit to you than many heard for you after your death.
12. You are preserved from dangers and misfortunes which otherwise might have befallen you. You shorten your stay in Purgatory.
13. Every Mass wins for you a higher degree of glory in Heaven.
14. You receive the priest's blessing which Our Lord ratifies in Heaven.
15. You kneel amidst a multitude of holy angels, who are present at the Adorable Sacrifice with reverential awe.
16. You are blessed in your temporal goods and affairs.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

The value of a spiritual communion well made is enormous. We can and should make one frequently.

Simply think on Jesus and how much He loves you and how much you love Him, then ask our Blessed Mother to ask Her Divine Son to come into your heart. You can offer these communions for the interest of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, noting your special intentions.

LUCIA REVEALS THE THIRD SECRET OF FATIMA

Regardless of whatever Creed or Religion, it is better to be prepared and  be in good terms with GOD Who created us; for we never know when we will be leaving this world.....

LAST SECRET OF FATIMA

The Church has given  permission to reveal to the people the last part of the message. The Blessed Virgin appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal in 1917, this is a proven fact;one of these children was Lucia, (died 2-13-05).

She was a cloistered nun, and lived in a monastery in Portugal. Lucia disclosed the message for the first time; to Pope Pius Xll  who, after reading, sealed it and stored it away without making it public. Later Pope John XXIII read it and, in the same manner as his predecessor, he kept it out of the public eye because he knew that once revealed; it would bring desperation and panic to mankind.

COME JOIN THE CONFRATERNITY OF THE MOST HOLY ROSARY

A World-Wide Movement of Prayer Entrusted to the DOMINICAN ORDER
by the HOLY SEE More than 500 Years Ago

The Rosary Confraternity is a spiritual association (of the Catholic Church), the members of which strive to pray the entire Rosary during the course of each week. They form a union of countless hundreds of thousands of the faithful throughout the world who, along with their own intentions, include the intentions and needs of all its members, while they in turn pray for them.

Since the Holy Father has recently added the five luminous mysteries, we encourage members of the Confraternity to include that extra weekly Rosary. However, we have as yet received no official statement regarding this matter. Those who recite only the fifteen traditional mysteries will continue to share in the benefits of the Confraternity until some official source declares the contrary.

THE SECRET OF THE ROSARY by St. Louis De Montfort

PART I - WHAT THE ROSARY IS

First Rose

The prayers of the Rosary
The rosary is made up of two things: mental prayer and vocal prayer. In the Holy Rosary mental prayer is none other than meditation of the chief mysteries of the life, death and glory of Jesus Christ and of His Blessed Mother. Vocal prayer consists in saying fifteen decades of the Hail Mary, each decade headed by an Our Father, while at the same time meditating on and contemplating the fifteen principal virtues which Jesus and Mary practised in the fifteen mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
In the first five decades we must honor the five Joyous Mysteries and meditate on them; in the second five decades the Sorrowful Mysteries and in the third group of five, the Glorious Mysteries. So the Rosary is a blessed blending of mental and vocal prayer by which we honor and learn to imitate the mysteries and virtues of the life, death, passion and glory of Jesus and Mary.

PRAYERS REVEALED BY OUR LORD TO SR. MARIE DE SAINT-PIERRE

"By offering My Face to My Eternal Father, nothing will be refused, and the conversion of many sinners will be obtained." - Our Lord To Sr. Marie de Saint-Pierre - November 1846

On November 24, 1843, Our Lord spoke the following words to the French Carmelite, Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre: "The earth is covered with crimes. The violation of the first three Commandments of God has irritated My Father. The Holy Name of God blasphemed, and the Holy Day of the Lord profaned, fills up the measure in iniquities. These sins have risen unto the Throne of God and provoked His wrath which will soon burst forth if His justice be not appeased. At no time have these crimes reached such a pitch." Our Lord appeared several times to Sister Marie to ask for reparation to be done to His Holy Face. These revelations enjoy the full approval of the Catholic Church.

Heaven has told us through Sister Marie that the Holy Face of Jesus is a symbol of the Catholic Religion. Is this not a veiled prophecy for the Church of our day? The crisis of Faith that has stricken the Church since the 1960's is one that has corrupted and disfigured the face of Catholicism.

MESSAGES OF OUR LORD TO BERTHE PETIT / OUR LADY OF OLLIGNIES

"Recourse to my Mother under the title I wish for her universally, is the last help I shall give before the end of time."

Berthe Petit, Enghien, Belgium, 1938
Status: Cause for Beatification Opened, Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat awarded to messages, Promoted by Cardinals Mercier of Belgium and Bourne of England.

Episcopal Remarks: The former granted an indulgence of 100 days to the invocation “Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us who have recourse to Thee” Ratified by Pope St Pius X in a hand-written letter to the Cardinal. His pastoral letter to the clergy and faithful read “Fulfilling therefore, the ardent wish which has been expressed to me, I shall consecrate in the very depths of my soul, during the Office of Good Friday, our Diocese, and in the limits of my power, our dear Country, to the Sorrowful and Immaculate of Mary. I exhort the priests to unite their intentions to mine, and the faithful to repeat devoutly the invocation to which I have already granted and indulgence of 100 days; Sorrowful and  Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us who have recourse to Thee.”

THE CONVERSION OF BLESSED BARTOLO LONGO or the Story of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii by Fr. Daniels

“With the boldness of desperation I lifted my face and hands to the Heavenly Virgin and cried, "If it be true that you promised St. Dominic that whoever spreads the Rosary will be saved, I will be saved, because I will not leave Pompeii until I have spread your Rosary. “ (Bl. Bartolo Longo)

Witchcraft and the occult have been drawing curious and spiritually-starved people for millennia. Unfortunately, this phenomenon has not died out; rather, it is increasing its hold on society. The following true story took place 100 years ago, but it is being repeated today in the lives of many, the young in particular. May the life of Blessed Bartolo Longo be an encouragement to anyone who finds himself caught in the web of superstition or occult practices, and to families and friends of such persons. Mary's Rosary is the powerful liberating force they seek.

READ ME OR RUE IT Purgatory Revealed

“Have pity on me, have pity on me at least you my friends for the hand of the Lord is heavy upon me.”

This is the touching prayer that the poor souls in Purgatory address their friends on Earth, begging, imploring their help, in accents of the deepest anguish.  Alas! many are deaf to their prayers.

It is incomprehensible how some Catholics, even those who are otherwise devout, shamefully neglect the souls in Purgatory.  It would almost seem that they do not believe in Purgatory.
Days and weeks and months pass without their having a Mass said for the holy souls!  Seldom too, do they hear Mass for them, seldom do they pray for them, seldom do they think of them! Whilst they are enjoying the fullness of health and happiness, busy with their work, engrossed with their amusements, the poor souls are suffering unutterable agonies on their beds of flame.
What is the cause of this awful callousness?  Ignorance, gross, inexplicable ignorance.

DEVOTION TO THE SOULS IN PURGATORY through the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Among the devotions which should form a crown of honor around the Sacred Heart, St. Margaret Mary gives a privileged place to devotion to the Souls in Purgatory. She herself had an extraordinary devotion to these Souls and called them her good suffering friends. The revelations which she received about the sufferings of these Souls, about our Divine Lord's tender love for them and His eager desire for their deliverance, of the great efficacy of the devotion to the Sacred Heart for their early release, and the fact that St. Margaret Mary, the apostle of the public devotion to the Sacred Heart, combined these two devotions so intimately in her own person, indicate that there is such a close connection between the two devotions that the devotion to the Souls in Purgatory may be said to form a part of the devotion to the Sacred Heart. Her extraordinary compassion for these suffering Souls may be said to be a share of the compassion of the Divine Heart for them; she called the devotion to the Sacred Heart the sovereign remedy for their relief.

ST. PAUL OF THE CROSS and the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Paul had often visions of the suffering souls in Purgatory; they were allowed by God to come to his cell and relate what they had to endure, and to beg him for his prayers. He would then arise at once, go to some chapel, and immediately took to prayer and disciplines to relieve his suffering friends in Christ. He would then be troubled at having gone beyond the bounds which his director set to his austerities; but one day his guardian angel consoled him by taking him in spirit to Purgatory for a few minutes, and let him experience what the holy souls there had to suffer. After this extraordinary grace he offered all the satisfactory acts he could for these poor souls, and tried to get others to do the same.

WHY IT IS MORE MERITORIOUS TO HEAR MASS during life and not after death...

Many Catholics are solicitous to have a number of Masses celebrated after their death for the repose of their souls. For this purpose they save money and devise a portion of their estate in their last will and testament. This is good and praise worthy, and persons intending this should by no means be dissuaded from doing so; yet it is more profitable and meritorious to have these Masses celebrated during life.

St. Leonard of Port Maurice exhorts us most earnestly to have Masses celebrated for ourselves during our life-time rather than after our death; and he declares that one Mass before our death is much more profitable to us than many after it. He gives the following reasons:

First, if we have a Mass said for us during our life-time, we are the cause of its celebration and can assist at it, which latter is impossible after our death.
